Play for Hope: Rwanda20
‘Play for Hope: Rwanda20’ is a project born out of the collaboration between Football for Hope Peace Unity (FHPU) and Coaches Across Continents (CAC), Mifalot Education and Society Enterprises (Mifalot) and Aegis Trust as well as many local community youth groups.
The objective of the programme is to use sport, in particular football, to encourage young people and their communities to be active in the fight against prejudice and intolerance in Rwanda. 60% of the population is under 24 years of age. Many were orphaned by the genocide; others had not yet been born at that time. Their education and mobilisation is essential if Rwanda is to achieve social cohesion, reconciliation and self-reliance.
Through awareness and recognition, Rwanda can ensure such atrocities never happen again and can focus on a future of resilience and growth. DOWNLOAD the PFHRwanda20 report for 2014
